Description
The Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, under the artistic leadership of Mindaugas Bačkus, continues the “Jigsaw Puzzle for Orchestra” series and invites to its 7th programme, which introduces orchestra musicians as soloists. According to the initiator and main mastermind behind the series, artistic director of the orchestra, “in this programme we focus on the works for soloists and orchestra by choosing the less known repertoire, which will be complemented with some unexpected musical solutions.”

In each new programme of the “Jigsaw Puzzle for Orchestra” series there is an element of surprise that often catches the audience unawares, not unlike the administration of the Klaipėda Concert Hall on some memorable occasions. As it has happened before, during such unconventional events an orchestra musician can make a proposal in the presence of the audience, or members of the audience can wander in the offices of the hall’s administration where they are provoked to participate in performative installations featuring various musical styles.

“Our new jigsaw puzzle, as it usually happens, will be a personal gift from each orchestra musician to each member of the audience,” Bačkus adumbrates.

We sincerely hope that the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra that never seems to run short of enthusiasm and ingenuity will once again astonish its listeners by demonstrating mastery, energy and an artistic élan. You must hear and see it to believe it!
